Angela and her husband Justin reached out for a very special reason: they wanted to announce their pregnancy in a way that felt intentional and personal. They drove all the way from Toronto to meet me at Burlington Beach just before sunrise, and it was 100% worth the early wake-up. The soft, golden light coming over Lake Ontario made everything feel dreamy and peaceful, perfect for the beginning of this new chapter in their lives.
Angela was about four months pregnant here. She had a vision for the session that felt light, natural, and beachy. We went barefoot in the sand, let the wind play with her dress, and captured lots of candid moments between them. You could feel their excitement and love the whole time.
Burlington Beach is one of my favourite spots to shoot at for couples and maternity photography. It offers soft sand, lots of natural space, and that magical lakeside light, especially at sunrise. It’s a short drive from Hamilton and totally worth considering if you’re looking for a maternity photographer or planning a special announcement shoot.
